Methodology
What we collect
Public listings of new watches from retailers in Europe, North America and Asia: authorized dealers and grey market sellers. Pre-owned and vintage listings are excluded. Each listing is matched to a manufacturer reference number, so the same watch from different sellers lands on one page.
How prices are normalised
Prices are stored in the seller's currency and converted to euros with the European Central Bank reference rate of the day. The US dollar view uses the same rate. Lowest, median and highest values are calculated from active offers only; listings that disappear are removed at the next crawl.
History and indices
Every price change is recorded. A daily snapshot of each reference feeds the price history chart. Brand indices start at 1,000 on the first day of tracking and move with the average daily change of references present on consecutive days.
Images and sources
Watch photos come from the retailer listing they belong to and are shown for identification with a link to the source. Historical images in the encyclopedia come from Wikimedia Commons under public domain or Creative Commons licenses. Every page lists each media item, its origin and license under “Media sources”.
Ranking and independence
The catalog is ordered by default by the number of active offers and retailers per reference; offers on a reference page are ordered by price in euros. Visitors can change the sort order. No retailer or brand pays for placement. Some retailer links are affiliate links; a commission does not change the price you pay or the position of the offer. Retailers are chosen by editorial criteria: publicly accessible listings of new watches, regional coverage and data quality.
Limits
Prices are indicative. Availability, taxes and delivery terms differ by seller and country. Always confirm the offer with the seller before buying.
